Join us for our church-wide retreat as we take some time to get away from the noise of our city to connect with God and others.
WHEN AND WHERE? The retreat runs from Saturday November 2 at 1pm to Sunday November 3 at 3:30pm at The Firs in Bellingham, Washington.
WHY SHOULD I COME? This retreat is our chance to get away as a church family. Having extended time all together like this is truly rare and special. We believe that it matters that we have time like this to eat, make memories, play and grow together.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT? There will a mix of learning sessions, devotional and worship time, delicious meals together and free time to hang out.
The theme is DISCOVER: stepping into your place in God’s family. The learning sessions cover a range of topics and tools, designed to help you discover more about who you are, and how God made you to uniquely fit in his family.
The Enneagram: a tool for growth. The Enneagram is a personality system with nine basic personality types that describe why you think, feel and behave in particular ways based on your core fears and core desires. By looking at these motivations, we can see a path to growth and health in the way we relate to ourselves, others, and God.
Spiritual Gifts: beyond our own strength. We believe that the Spirit gives each of us gifts, and learning more about how each of us are uniquely gifted helps us learn how to function better as a spiritual family. This session will be a learning opportunity to find out more about spiritual gifts, discover some of your spiritual gifts, and how to explore them.
Holy Spirit: empowering and equipping. At the end of the day, it is the Holy Spirit who transforms our lives. It is the Holy Spirit who helps us grow and flourish. It is the Holy Spirit who equips us to have a kingdom impact. There will be time to explore how the Holy Spirit opersates and an invitation to respond to what the Spirit wants to do in your life.
